Toronto/CityCentreAirport，inToronto，Ontario，CanadaisaregionalairportlocatedontheTorontoIslands.Openedin1939asthePortGeorgeVIAirfield，itbecamegenerallyknownastheIslandAirport.AtopeningitwasintendedtobeToronto‘sprincipalairport；asecondaryairportwasbuiltinMalton(nowpartofMississauga)foruseincaseofinclementweather.However，theserolesquicklybecamereversed，andtheMaltonAirportbecamethemainairport，aroleinwhichitcontinuestodayasTorontoPearsonInternationalAirport.In1994，thenamewasofficiallychangedtoTorontoCityCentreAirport，butmoststillcallitthe“IslandAirport.”Theoriginal1939woodenframeterminalbuildingisstillpresentandusedalthoughnotasacommercialpassengerterminal.Theonlymajorchangetothestructurewasachangetoslopingglassinthecontroltowertofacilitatenightoperations.
